The Mini Power Minder (Mini PM) has a built in sensor which is plugged into a power outlet. You then plug the attached IEC female into your computer, at which point it then sends an “ON” signal to the secondary socket. This will then turn on any plugged-in peripherals like your monitor, printer, modem, etc. The Mini PM also includes a USB jack. The USB has the same function as the sensor type, the only difference being that you can connect your computer and the Mini PM with the USB cable.
If you need extra socket for additional peripherals, you can use a regular power strip as an extension by plugging the Power Cable of your Power strip into the socket marked “Secondary” on the Mini PM.
When you turn the computer off, the Mini PM will send an “OFF” signal to the other power sockets, turning off any attached peripherals. The USB port of your computer controls the USB model.
