Hobbes
provide the SMARTFiber of new version in this year, it had upgraded
specification, which add two wavelengths for 1490nm, 1625nm, in
addition, it also change the adapter to replacement type that user can
select the connector for FC, ST, SC types. It is more widely used in
optical communication, and brings user operate it more easy.
Furthermore, SMARTFiber is designed as an easy to use and lightweight
fiber optic power meter that measures power of light transmitting from
an optical fiber. It utilizes an InGaAs detector for improved
sensitivity and temperature stability. It tests for standard optical
power from +3 to -60dBm dynamic range with six calibrated wavelengths;
850nm, 1300nm, 1310nm, 1490nm, 1550nm and 1625nm.
The SMARTFiber is equipped with a replacement adaptor which can be used
for all the most common fiber interfaces such as FC, ST, SC. It is
suitable to test both single-mode and multi-mode fiber cables. With an
optional 2.5mm to 1.25mm adapter users can test for 1.25mm fiber
cables. The SMARTFiber can also receive analog tone signals (270Hz,
1KHz, 2KHz) simultaneously for identification purposes.
